Mary &Quot;Libby&Quot; Elizabeth Fawley

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Fawley, 90, of Frederick, passed away on Sunday, March 6th, 2011 at her residence. She was the wife of Charles Robert "Bob" Fawley. Born in Frizzelburg, Maryland on March 27, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Howard Raymond and Nora (Hahn) Dickensheets. She was a longtime member of Calvary United Methodist Church; a member of the Women of the Moose; Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary, and participated in Bowling Leagues at Terrace Lanes, for many years. Libby was also an active volunteer with the Bloodmobile collection for the Frederick County Chapter, American Red Cross, for many years. In earlier years, she had worked with JCPenney Company, Melrose Canning, in Westminster and later at Hamilton's Restaurant. In later years, she has worked with Food Fair-Super Fresh and later retired after 18 years from Safeway, where she worked in the meat department. Libby was a 20 year cancer survivor. Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Richard Eugene Covell and wife Sandy; four daughters, Patricia Elizabeth Fagan and husband, Larry, Shirley Elaine Kroh and husband, Tom, Susan Ann Tobery and husband, Clarence, Cynthia Kay Driver and husband Randy; one brother, Edgar Dickensheets; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also devoted to her granddoggies, Sammi and Toby. She was preceded in death by three grandchildren, April Dehn, Paul Keeney III, and Patrick Ryan Fagan; and three brothers, Howard R. Dickensheets, Jr, Francis "Pete" Dickensheets, and Harold Dickensheets. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm on Wednesday, March 9 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E Church St. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, March 10 from the Etchison Memorial Chapel, Frederick, MD, with Rev. Kenneth R. Dunnington officiating. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery Frederick, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O.
