Joseph Peter Feraco

Mr. Joseph Peter Feraco, 90, of Frederick, passed away Monday, May 17, 2010, at his residence. He was the husband for 61 years of Catherine (Russo) Feraco. Born Jan. 15, 1920, he was the son of the late Francis and Rosina (Alfano) Feraco. Mr. Feraco served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion. Surviving in addition to his wife are his two daughters, Rosemarie Walsh and husband, Richard, of Mentor, Ohio, and Jane Reis and husband, Paul, of Frederick. He was the grandfather of David Walsh and wife, Jennifer, and Jessica Reis and Naomi Reis. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, at Keeney and Basford, P.A., Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 20, at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 118 E. Second St., Frederick. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mr. Feraco's name to the National Kidney Foundation, 1107 Kenilworth Drive, Suite 202, Baltimore, MD 21204-2186.
