Bernard Fogle &Quot;Bernie&Quot; Fogle

Mr. Bernard Leroy "Bernie" Fogle, 68, of Kearneysville, WV, died on Monday, April 4, 2011 at the University of Maryland Hospital. He was the husband of 47 years to Mary C. Fogle. Born on June 20, 1942, he was the son of the late Harold C. Fogle and Violet M. Romsburg Fogle.

Mr. Fogle retired as a security guard at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He also was a dispatcher for the Frederick City Police Department. Bernie worked with the Great Frederick Fair for 30 years. He was a life member of Junior Fire Company #2 and Citizen's Truck Company #4. Mr. Fogle also volunteered for over 25 years for Junior Ambulance.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Fogle is survived by his daughters Kristi Harley and husband Jay and Joan Kotanko and husband Kevin, grandchildren Jeremy Harley, Amanda Martin and her friend Nick, Nikole Kotanko and Morgan Kotanko and great-grandchildren Ryan Spears, Elijah Martin, son of Edward Martin, Angel Harley and Starla Harley. He is also survived by his brother Harold R. Fogle and wife Tina, brothers-in-law Charles E. Green and wife June and James R. Green and wife Nancy and step-sisters in law Sarah Gastley and husband Charles and Martha Julian and husband Steve as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by step-sisters in law Ruth Fogle and Annabelle Martin and step-brother in law Robert F. Long.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 8 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Keeney and Basford PA Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 9 at 11:00 AM in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home, Rev. Tim May officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
