Mary G. Loy Ford

Mary G. (Loy) Ford, age 90, formerly of Frederick, recently of Hagerstown, passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2010. She was the wife of Charles H. Ford. Born on May 12, 1920 she was the daughter of the late John R. and Mary G. Loy. Mrs. Ford graduated in the class of 1939 from Frederick High School. She enjoyed knitting, cooking and shopping. On Saturday, May 15, 2010, she was in attendance at her 90th birthday party held at the Waynesboro Country Club. She is survived by her four children: Sharen M. Marshall and her husband Dale of Frederick, Donna L. Pecsenye of Chambersburg, Charles F. Ford and his wife Janet of Hagerstown, and Vali Jones and her husband Jim of Hagerstown. She was the grandmother of 10 and the great-grandmother of 17. She was looking forward to becoming a great-great grandmother in November of this year. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, Ruskin L. and Pauline Murphy and her brother James S. Loy. Friends will be received at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick on Saturday, May 22, 2010 from 3 to 5 PM where services will be held on Monday, May 24, 2010 at 11 AM in the Etchison Memorial Chapel. Pastor Charles Griffin will officiate.
