Teresa Mezquita Gallo

Mrs. Teresa Mezquita Gallo, age 91, formerly of Worman's Mill, Frederick, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2011, in Winter Garden, FL. She was the wife of the late Herman Armando Gallo, who passed away on February 24, 2008. Born in Spain on August 21, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Manuel Mezquita and Pilar Fuentes Mezquita.

Mrs. Gallo worked for 25 years for the Spanish Embassy in Washington, D.C., retiring in 1968. She initially worked for the Agriculture Attach, and later for the Labor Attach. Following her retirement, she enjoyed frequently traveling abroad with her husband Herman.

Mrs. Gallo is survived by her niece and nephew -in-law, Dolores and Joseph Gick; grand-nephew Joseph Gick, Jr., his wife Margaret and their children; and grand-niece Lynn Eecklor , her husband Christopher and their children. She will also be loved and missed by special family friend Jim Polacek.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Saint Timothy's Roman Catholic Church, 8651 Biggs Ford Road, Walkersville, Maryland 21793, on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 10 AM. The internment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to the American Heart Association - Mid Atlantic Affiliate, Atten: Memorials, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen VA 23060-9979.
