Daniel Kelly Grimes

Mr. Daniel Kelly Grimes, 50, of Frederick died Tuesday, July 5, 2011.

Born July 18, 1960 in Frederick, he was the son of Juanita Comegys Grimes of Hagerstown and the late Pearl Ambrose Grimes, Jr., who died in 1998.

Mr. Grimes was a district store manager for Sunbelt Rental Company. His passion in life was his daughters and riding his Harley. He had a great love for his pets, Aggi, Marlye, and Angel.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughters, Jaime and Rachel Grimes; a brother, David Ambrose Grimes and his wife Sherry of Frederick; two sisters, Brenda Rivera and husband John of Kensington, and Bonnie Provo and her husband John of Hagerstown; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Grimes also will be remembered by his former wife and mother of his daughters, Becky Wallace of Walkersville; and two step-sons, Dylan and Spencer Lee, and their mother, Jill Lee.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, with a memorial service to begin at 6 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Richard Jewell of John Wesley United Methodist Church.

Inurnment will be private.
