Mabel L. Hargrove

December 29, 1927 — February 16, 2011

Mrs. Mabel L. Hargrove, 83, of Silver Spring, died Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Casey House in Rockville. She was the wife of the late Robert Leon Hargrove.

Born December 29, 1927 in Kensington, she was the daughter of the late Richard Edwin and Sarah Ann Morningstar Johnson.

Mrs. Hargrove was a life-long resident of Silver Spring, where she was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 658.

She worked for many years at the National 4-H Headquarters in Chevy Chase.

Mrs. Hargrove is survived by her four daughters, Donna Tickel, Barbara Ingram, Patricia Collins-Murrah, and Juanita Haynes; and many aditional family members.

Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the mausoleum of Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 515 South Market Street, Frederick. Officiating will be Pastor Mike Yoho of First Baptist Church of Green Valley.

Those wishing to attend should assemble by 10:15 inside the main gate of the cemetery.

Serving as bearers will be Jim Haynes, John Murrah, Wayne Johnson, Larry Johnson, Paul Tickel, and Brandon Connor.

Arrangements are being handled by Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, Frederick.
