Ms. Shirley Ann "Duke" Keeney Eiker, 60 of Jefferson, died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at her home.

Born February 12, 1951 in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Charles Robert and Margaret Elizabeth Cole Keeney.

Ms. Eiker worked as a custodian at Ft. Detrick for 11 years. She was a member of the Redmen Chippewa Tribe 19 in Frederick and will be missed by her many friends there.

She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Green and husband, Randy, of Jefferson, and Brenda Wilson of Myersville; five grandchildren, Ashley Carter and husband, Michael, Tommy Ferril, Brittany Zeller, Brandy Feketis, and Michelle Shaff; and three great-grandchildren, Myiah Carter, Hannah Carter and Skilyar Clift.

Also surviving are three sisters, Patricia "Susie" Baugher and her husband, Gene; Wanda "Toodles" Keeney and her partner, Debbie Scott; and Debra Testerman, and her husband, Charles; as well as, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She also will be remembered by "The Golden Girls", Carol Heatherly, Nancy Elliot, and Jenette Tobery.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2011 at Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 8 from the funeral home chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Stacey Brady.

Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Serving as bearers will be Randy Green, Charles Testerman, John Baugher, Michael Carter, Robert Brooks, and Dwight Rice.
