Mrs. Kathy Jean Wisner Kinnaman, 55, of Frederick, died on Saturday, March 12, 2011, at her home, surrounded by her family and friends. She was the wife of Kenneth A. Kinnaman. Born in Frederick, on November 8, 1955, she was a daughter of John E. Wisner, Sr., of Frederick, and Yvonne Gerrich Wisner May, of Keedysville. Kathy was a graduate of Frederick High School Class of 1973. She had worked for 29 years at National Geographic Society in the accounting department. She was a very active member of the Bush Creek Church of the Brethren in Monrovia, where she had served as a Deacon and also was active with the pastor's prayer team. She was a member of Job's Daughter's, a past honor queen and also served on the advisory board for many years. Also she was active and a member for 32 years of the Auxiliary to the Independent Hose Company and was a past president and secretary. Kathy enjoyed many things in her life which included, shopping, going to the card shop, because she sent cards to everyone. She also enjoyed bus trips, gardening, and collecting teddy bears. Most of all she enjoyed spending time when her family especially her grandson. In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her daughter, Kristy Howard, of Thurmont, and her grandson, Dakota "Cody" Frazier, three brothers, Donald Wisner and Stephen Wisner, both of Frederick, and John E. Wisner, Jr., of Tucson, Arz., two sisters, Rhonda Wisner, of Hagerstown and Cindy MacMullen, of Middletown. She will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was very loved by many friends and will be sadly missed by all, but never will she be forgotten. The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m., on Friday, March 18, 2011, at the Bush Creek Church of the Brethren, Monrovia. Funeral services will be held there at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 19, 2011. The Rev. Charles G. Beekley, pastor of the church, will officiate. (Directions to the church would be Route 70 East, to the New Market/Monrovia Exit, (Route 75) Travel towards Monrovia which is also Green Valley Road, Travel under the underpass, and you will find the church on the left after you pass Ed McClain Road, on the right.
