Mr. Kyle Matthew Knott, 29, of Shepherdstown, West Virginia, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2011. He suffered from Respiratory Arrest leading to Cardiac Arrest. He was flown to Winchester Medical Center, where his wishes for organ and tissue donation were honored. Klye was born in Frederick on February 5, 1982 and was a son of Larry E. and Bridgid Hannigan Knott. He graduated from Salisbury University in 2004 and was employed as a research technician at SAIC in Frederick. He was an avid baseball fan and softball player involved in multiple leagues in the Frederick County Community. Kyle was a generous soul and often came to help his loving family and many friends. He lived life to the fullest with a practical attitude, making sure each second counted. Surviving in addition to his loving parents one brother, Brandon E. Knott, of Bel Air, his sister, Erin M. Knott and boy friend Jesse, of Frederick, his nephew, Riley E. Knott and niece, MacKenzie M. Knott, and grandmothers, Barbara Lee Hannigan, of Frederick and Joan E. Knott, of Mt. Airy. He will be sadly missed by his aunts and uncles who include, Jim and Nancy Hannigan, Debbie, Allen, Brian, Diana and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, James G. Hannigan, Jr. and Franklin R. Knott. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., on Friday, December 16, 2011, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, December 17, 2011, from the St. John Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 118 East Second Street, Frederick. Msgr. Richard Murphy, will officiate. Inurnment will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Kyle Knott Charitable Memorial Fund at Frederick Couinty Bank, 30 West Patrick Street, Frederick, MD 21701.
