Mr. Phillip Kritsings, 81, of Frederick, died on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Petura R. "Pat" Stemple Kritsings. He was born in Frederick on April 14, 1929 and was a son of the late Steve and Tasia Pappas Kritsings. Mr. Kritsings was a graduate of Frederick High School Class of 1947. He proudly served his country in the United States Army with the 82nd Airborne during the Korean War. He retired after many years of working as an estimator and project manager in the construction industry. He had attended Brook Hill United Methodist Church. Phil was a life member and past president of the United Steam Fire Engine Company No. 3, a founder of the Seneca Football League, a member of the Francis Scott Key American Legion Post 11, Amvets Post 2, and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 371. Surviving in addition to his wife are four daughters, Pam A. Mrozinski and husband Tom, of Falling Waters, West Virginia, Sheryl A. Grossnickle, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Laura A. Harwood and husband Tommy, of Frederick, and Rikki R. Jenkins and husband Eric, of Jacksonville, Florida, one brother, Andrew Kritsings of Georgia, one sister, Nike Seamans, of Fla., and eight grandchildren, Jennifer Powers, Lindsay Powers, Kristin Nevin, Mikel Nevin, Breann Harwood, Brent Harwood, Eric Jenkins, Jr., and Kaylee Jenkins, one great granddaughter, Taylor Nevin and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother in law, Jimmie Stemple. The family would also like to thank a very special caregiver, Carrie Anderson. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, January 23, 2011, at the Keeney and Basford PA Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m., on Sunday, at the funeral home by the United Steam Fire Engine Company. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, January 24, 2011 from the Brook Hill United Methodist Church, 8946 Indian Springs Road, Frederick. The Rev. Linda A. Warehime and the Rev.
