Jean Miller Kunkle

Mrs. Jean M. Kunkle, age 86 of Frederick, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at the Golden Living Center - Frederick. She was the wife of the late Robert H. Kunkle who passed away in 1992. Born on October 2, 1925 in Frederick, MD she was the daughter of the late Clark A. and Beatrice V. (Stotelmyer) Miller.

Mrs. Kunkle was employed for ten years at Henderickson Clothing Store and for thirty-two years at Farmers Mechanic Bank of Frederick. She was a member of South End Baptist Church, Frederick. Jean was very fortunate to have many wonderful neighbors and friends along with her "Scottie" dog Cobweb to help her through life after a car accident while walking to work in the late 1970's.

Jean was the last of her immediate family. She is survived by two cousins, Richard Miller of Thurmont and Larry Larson of Jamestown, New York. She will additionally be missed by the staff and her friends at Golden Living Center who gave her much comfort during her stay.

A graveside service is planed for Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 515 S. Market St., Frederick. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Mrs. Kunkle's name to the Frederick County Humane Society, 217 W. Patrick St., Frederick, MD 21701 or to the South End Baptist Church, 506 Carrollton Dr., Frederick, MD 21701. Arrangements conducted by the Keeney & Basford P.A. Funeral Home, Frederick.
