Richard Alan Legere

Richard Alan Legere, entered into rest at his home in Ijamsville, MD on Monday, October 4, 2010. He was 49 years old. He was the son of Janice Toothill Legere of Montgomery, NY, and the late Joseph E. Legere.

Richard was a Valley Central High School graduate class of 1979 and a graduate of the University of Maryland where he received a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force at the rank of Tech Sergeant. During his service Richard received numerous medals and accommodations. After his retirement he held various jobs as a contractor for the Federal government in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son Michael; sisters, Cheryl Carr and husband Peter, Michele Valenti, Cindee Pascal and husband Stephen, Lisa Mistretta and fianc Bud Karsten; brother Edmond Legere and wife Diana; his dear companion Lisa Tart; 8 nieces; 3 nephews; 6 grandnieces and grandnephews; 2 aunts; 1 uncle; and several cousins.

Private services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, Va. at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are being handled by Keeney & Basford PA. Funeral Home, Frederick, Maryland.
