Frances Irene Miss

Mrs. Frances Irene (Lambert) Miss, 85, of Frederick, died Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Kline Hospice House. She was the wife of the late Thomas Caldwell Miss Sr. for 35 years. They were married on March 16, 1945.

She was born on August 16, 1926, in Utica, MD and she was the daughter of the late Paul W. and Cora Eva (Blubaugh) Lambert. She retired from Farmers-Coop as a bookkeeper.

She is survived by her sons, Thomas Caldwell Miss Jr. and wife Sandy and Wayne Francis Miss and wife Karen, brother, Franklin "Hank" Lambert and wife Linda, sisters, Doris M. Hubbard, Eva Jean Bollinger and husband Randy and Patsy Joyce Feeser and husband Lloyd, grandchildren, Daphne Miss, Ashley Dutrow and Tommy Miss, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul "Sonny" Lambert, sisters, Margaret E. Crutchley, Nettie P. Taylor and Audrey M. Smith.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, on Wednesday, September 21, 2011, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, on Thursday, September 22, 2011, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Tim May and Rev. Linda Lambert will officiate. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
