Mary Ellen Miss

Mrs. Mary Ellen Miss, 73, of Frederick, died on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at the Northampton Manor Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Robert M. Miss, who died on September 18, 2007. Born in Jenner, Pennsylvania on February 24, 1937, she was a daughter of the late John, Sr., and Lottie Bear Gaumer. Mrs. Miss had worked for several years in food service for the Frederick County Public Schools at Waverly and Hillcrest Elementary Schools. Surviving are her three children, Timothy D. Miss and wife Lana and David E. Miss, all of Frederick, and Donna R. Harmon and husband Daniel, of Jefferson, two brothers, Robert Gaumer and wife Alma, of Dearborn, MI and John Gaumer, Jr., of Frostburg. She was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Gaumer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, August 19, 2010 in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the Keeney and Basford PA Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Friends may call one hour prior to the services. The Rev. Dr. James S. Flora, will officate. Interment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. Pallbearers will be, Ralph Hopkins, Jamie Miller, Daniel Miss, David Harmon, Greg Miss and Brain Miss.
