Mary Rebecca Molesworth

Mary Rebecca Molesworth, 86, of Frederick, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at Homewood at Crumland Farms. She was the wife of the late Thomas Edward Molesworth, who passed away Sept. 29, 1996. Born Dec. 17, 1923, in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Jacob L. and Mary (DeGrange) Engelbrecht. Mrs. Molesworth was a graduate of Frederick High School, Class of 1941, and trained as a nurse at Maryland General Hospital in 1945. She worked as a Nationwide Insurance agent with her husband for 30 years. She was a charter member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed helping at the Senior Center, and swimming. Mrs. Molesworth is survived by her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Molesworth and her son-in-law, Richard McDonough, of Frederick; and her grandson, Dr. Jesse Molesworth and his wife, Dr. Monique Morgan; and her stepgranddaughter, Anne McDonough. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Miriam Louise Walters, and her husband, Harry. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Margaret Engelbrecht, Paul Engelbrecht, Jacob E. Engelbrecht, Harriet Milbourn and Deborah Miller. She will be remembered as Aunt Becky by many cousins, a niece and nephew and dear friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 17, at Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1415 W. Seventh St., Frederick, MD 21702. The Rev. Ronald E. Reaves will officiate. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick, before services at 9:30 a.m. Arrangements are by Keeney and Basford, P.A., Funeral Home
