William Edgar Morgan

Mr. William "Bill" Edgar Morgan, 75, of Frederick, died Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Kline Hospice House after a long battle with cancer.

He was born on February 11, 1936 in Frederick, Maryland and was the son of the late Norman and Catherine (Zimmerman) Morgan.

Mr. Morgan worked for Hiltners furniture store for more than 30 years until his retirement. After Hiltners closed, he worked for himself and with his son at Morgan Electric Company.

He is survived by his companion; Adeline Mort, daughter; Kristi Stevenson and husband Benjamin, sons; Gregory Morgan, Clayton Morgan and companion Diane Brittingham and Steven Morgan and fiance Brigette Davy, brothers; Richard Morgan and wife Sharon and Howard Morgan, sisters; Shirley Darnell and husband Ray, Sandy Hollenbaugh and husband Michael and Carol Warfield, grandchildren; Ryan Morgan, Sarah Morgan, Kaylan Morgan, Kamren Morgan, Lindsey "Jade" Morgan, Jacob Morgan, Tucker Morgan, Lukas Makowski and Katherine Stevenson, ex wife; Bertha Morgan, extended family; Bruce Mort and companion Trish Thornhill, Diane Fox and husband Billy and Natalie Fox, special friends; Loraine and Bebe Brown, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings; Gene Morgan and Joan Morgan.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Friday, July 1, 2011 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church St, Frederick. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 2, 2011 in the Etchison Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dr. Kenneth Walker will officiate. Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
