Mr. Edward (Eddie) William Ott, Jr., 36, of Baltimore, MD for the past several years, died suddenly on Thursday, December 8, 2011 as a result of a hemorrhage in his brain at Johns Hopkins University Hospital. He was an organ donor and is now helping many people with his final gift.

Born on July 14, 1975, in Frederick, MD. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward W. Ott Sr., his Uncles John F. Mapes and Andy D. Mapes. He is survived by his mother, Christine Mapes Ott, his brother, Thomas Ott, his Grandmother, Evelyn Ott all of Doubs, MD. He is also survived by his Uncle Bill Mapes and wife Mary, and Aunts Barbara Devenport, Jean Mapes, Alice Mapes, Judy Pindzia and husband Kevin and many close loving cousins.

A graduate of Frederick High School in 1993 and University of Maryland at College Park in 2000- Chemistry. He was an analytical chemist working at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Laural, MD. He was a member of Alpha Chi Sigma (1999) and several Camera Clubs. He was a member of the Doubs/Epworth United Methodist Church.

He was a self-acknowledged technology junky, with hobbies including photography, music, beer making, playing the base and general tinkering. He was always ready and willing to help his family and friends. He was well known for his Chocolate Beer Cakes. At family outings you could always count on him to have his camera ready.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9pm, on Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, MD 21701. A memorial service will be held at 4:00pm, on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at Doubs/Epworth United Methodist Church, 5131 Doubs Road, Adamstown, MD 21710. Rev. Paul Papp will officiate. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are being made by Keeney & Basford Funeral Home.
