Susan Bobro Overs

Mrs. Susan Bobro Overs, 87, of Frederick, formerly a longtime resident of Grand Island, NY, died on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at her home. She was the wife of George Arthur Overs, whom she married Dec 4, 1942, and who preceded her in death on Nov 12, 2005 Born November 11, 1923 in Proctor, VT, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Judith Sadar Bobro. She was a longtime member of St. Martins in the Field Episcopal Church, where she was active in the Altar Guild. She was also a member of the Bridgeview Garden Club. She had the most fulfilling career as a homemaker, wife and mother and was most happy spending the last 12 years with her grandchildren here in Frederick. She is survived by her son , Cameron Overs and wife Martha; three grandchildren, Staff Sgt. Jonathan Overs, USMC, Julia Kuipers and husband, Josh and Laura Overs; and her life long friend, Gloria Towsley. She was preceded in death by five siblings, Paul, Helen, Sabina, Mary and Julia. Friends may call at Wedekindt Funeral Home, 3290 Delaware Ave. in Kenmore, NY on Wednesday, May 11th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Martins in the Field Episcopal Church, Grand Island, NY.
