Mrs. Barbara Lee Ozag, 77, of Frederick, died Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at Kline Hospice House in Mount Airy. She was the wife of the late Joseph Ozag Sr., who died Jan. 17, 2008. They were married Aug. 6, 1958. Born Sept. 10, 1932, in Connellsville, Pa., she was a daughter of the late John J. Sr. and Rose Bailey Brady. She had worked at Frederick High School as a secretary and also as a substitute teacher in the Frederick County school system, particularly at Ballenger Creek Middle School, North Frederick Elementary School and Lincoln Elementary for many years. Barbara was also a co-founder of Clagett Enterprises, and she was a real estate agent and broker, primarily with Bach Realty. She was also active in the family-owned liquor store in Frederick for several years. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Frederick. Surviving are her two sons, Joseph Ozag Jr. and wife, Janette, and Dr. David Ozag, all of Frederick; four grandchildren, Emilie Martin, whom she and her husband raised, and husband, Dan, of Syracuse, N.Y., and Christopher, Kimberly and Kevin Ozag, all of Frederick; a great-granddaughter, Teresa Martin; and two sisters, Ann Riley and husband, Chuck, of Uniontown, Pa., and Susan Brady, of Naples, Fla. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Her family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff of Sunrise Assisted Living, the Kline Hospice House and the Hospice of Frederick County. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mariann Ozag Metcalf on May 2, 1995; two sisters, Rose Marie "Posey" Johnson and Helene Riley; and two brothers, Edward Brady and John "Jack" Brady Jr. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 9, at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. A Christian wake service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 10, from St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 118 E. Second St., Frederick. The Rev. Larry Frazier will be the celebrant. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
