Robert Lee Page, Sr.

Robert Lee Page, 80, of Frederick, died Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Octavia Mae Etzler, whom he married 59 years ago. Born February 22, 1931, in Frederick, he was the son of the late George Walter Page and Mabel Estelle Carey.

Robert retired from the United States Postal Service in Washington, D.C. He was a member and past president of Korean War Veterans, Chapter 142; Amvets and American Legion. He was an avid coin collector and enjoyed traveling, visiting casinos and playing cards.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Robert Lee Page, Jr. and wife Kathy of Annona, TX, Robin Lynn Dicken and husband Robert of Fairfield, PA, Penny Marie Bush of Frederick, MD, Tonya Leigh Boore and husband J. Robert of Fairmont, WV, Leslie Diane Coats and husband Harold of Harper's Ferry, WV and Jennifer Sue Ford and husband Bruce of Fairfield, PA. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ben Page and Julie of Thurmont, MD, Sandra Page of Winchester, VA, Melinda Dicken and fianc Kris Accardi of Bonneville, PA, Rhonda and Daniel Borne of Fairfield, PA, Amanda Tillotson and Daniel of Stovall, NC, Kasey Basnight of Frederick, MD, Matthew and Alisha Pearcy of Fairmont, WV, Kimberleigh Pearcy of Fairmont, WV, Tyler Pearcy of Fairmont, WV, Meagan Coats of Wilmington, DE, Chelsey Coats of Harper's Ferry, WV, Austin Ford of Fairfield, PA and Samantha Ford of Fairfield, PA as well as step-grandchildren Steven Allen and Kelly Allen of Annona, TX. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 12 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at Keeney and Basford PA Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 13 at 10:00 AM in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home, Rev. Tim May officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Korean War Veterans Association, P.O. Box 1647, Frederick, MD 21702.
