John &Quot;Jack&Quot; Piontek

Mr. John (Jack) Piontek passed away on August 8, 2010 at his home in Ijamsville, MD, surrounded by his loving family members. He was the beloved husband of Olivia; devoted father of Andrew and his wife Kate, Matthew and his fiance' Cristen Tucker, and Thomas. Also survived by his loving sister, Barbara Carpenter, and many loving family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 11 at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 118 East Second Street, Frederick. Celebrant will be Father Richard Gray. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702.
