Richard Ramsburg

Mr. Richard Leon "Buck" Ramsburg, 78, formerly of Adamstown, died Wednesday, August 17, 2011 in Baltimore. He was survived by his first wife Clara Goff.

He was born on May 14, 1933 in Utica. He was the son of the late Henry and Thelma (Herdler) Ramsburg. From 1953 to 1955, he served in the US Army, where he was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. After his military service, he worked for Ideal Farms and Dairy Maid picking up and delivering milk. He worked as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator for various construction companies including Richard F Kline and Walter W. King.

He is survived by his children, Grace Ramsburg Goff and husband Dennis, James "Rock" Ramsburg and wife Diane, Robert "Bert" Ramsburg Sr. and wife Brenda, Virginia Ramsburg Sappington , Michelle Moore and husband Robert, Grandson, Scott Moore, siblings, Kenneth Ramsburg Sandra Dodd and Thelma Furr, 11 grandchildren and 14 great-Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Richard Ramsburg Jr. and sister, Edith Weatherholt.

Buck had special relationships with Russell Fleetwood and family, the Ryba family, and the Brooks family.

The family will receive friends from 1pm to 2pm, on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. The funeral service will begin following the viewing at 2pm. Pastor Carlos Rosado will officiate. Interment will be at Utica Cemetery, Utica.
