Elizabeth &Quot;Betty&Quot; Skiff

Mrs. Elizabeth A. "Betty" Skiff, 72, of Frederick, MD., died on Monday, August 23rd, 2010 at her home after a long battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late James Alan Skiff, who passed away in 1995. They had been married in 1978. She was born in Palmyra, New York on August 28, 1937, the only child and daughter of the late Melvin Elwood and Ethel Mae (Taylor) Drew. She was of the catholic faith and enjoyed watching old movies and old television shows. In earlier years, she like reading and more recently enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are two children, Cathleen Elizabeth Roberson and husband Bruce, and Michael James Wiley, of Frederick; two grandchildren, Matthew K.F. Stotler and fiance Jessica Hallmark and her daughter Kaylee; and Rebecca Roberson, of Frederick; and one great granson, Christian Stotler. She is also remembered by her very dear friend Linda Fish and will be missed by her beloved dog, Sadie. A special remembrance and thanks to Dr. Eskander and all the staff that helped her while at her appointments and to the neighbors and Hospice. The family will receive friends from 7pm until time of funeral services at 8:00 pm on Friday, August 27th at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. The Rev. Stephen Humphrey , pastor of Walkersville United Methodist Church, will officiate. Private Inurnment will be held at a later date at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Frederick, Maryland. Donations to assist the family can be provided to the funeral home.
