Thelma Helen Smith

Thelma H. Smith, age 79, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2011 with the last of her immediate family. She is proceeded in death by her husband Stanley E. Smith who passed away in 1984 and her daughter Carol A. Kanode who passed away in 2002. She is survived by her children, Stanley Smith and wife Denise, Patti Caudill, and Teresa Lippy and husband Cletus. She is additionally survived by her three grandchildren, Vernon Wallace, Ricky Mason and Jessica Mason and her fiancee Chris Alder; three great-grandchildren, Aidyn and Alyssa Alder and James Mason and a son-in-law Kenneth Kanode.

Friends will be received on Thursday, April 7, 2011 from 6 to 8 and on Friday, April 8, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick where funeral services will be held in the Etchson Memorial Chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 2:30 PM. Pastor Jim Zeismer of the Catoctin View Seventh-Day Adventist Church will officiate. The interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
