Jane Lucille Snurr

Mrs. Jane Lucille Snurr, 89, of Frederick, died Monday, December 20, 2010 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Vernon A. Snurr, who died on March 9, 1994.

Born on August 27, 1921 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Howard E. and Lottie Robinson Crum.

Mrs. Snurr graduated from Frederick High School, class of 1939. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church of the Manor Parish.

Mrs. Snurr was the last of her immediate family.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Darla and Frank Karn; three grandchildren, Wayne Snurr, Robin Blackman and Stephanie Scordo; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Paul Hylan in 2002 and her son, Wayne Snurr in 2005.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010 at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Marina C. Flores of Manor Lutheran Parish.

Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
