Cinda Gale Spencer

Ms. Cinda Gale Spencer, 64, of Frederick, died Thursday, April 1, 2010, in Frederick. Born Aug. 13, 1945, in Baltimore City, she was the daughter of the late William and Eva Spencer. Cinda resided with MedSource Community Services Inc. for more than 23 years. She was employed with Goodwill Industries of Monocacy Valley Inc. for the past seven years, where she worked in the retail store. Cinda formerly worked through The Arc of Washington County Crossroads Center in Hagerstown, doing production work. She attended Maranatha Church of God in Frederick. Cinda served on the MedSource standing committee for over one year. Cinda touched the lives of all who knew her. She was known for her friendly and outgoing personality and love of life. Cinda loved music and dancing. She loved vacationing, hosting parties, and spending time with her friends, and called those she was fond of "buddy." She will be especially missed by a close friend, Brenda Shoemaker; her caregivers, Kathryn Johnson, Patricia Harris and Jeanette Leonard; and her housemate, Betty Green. She was preceded in death by a longtime housemate, Linda Rehrig. Cinda will also be remembered by her job coach, Vicki Gastley, many staff, coworkers, and countless friends at Goodwill Industries, as well as MedSource Community Services and Service Coordination Inc. Visitation hours will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 9, at Keeney and Basford, P.A., Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, with funeral services to follow at 10:30 a.m. Officiating will be Mrs. Vernia "Penny" Rollins.
