Ms. Anne Johnston Wallis (formerly Annie Clark), 43, of Frederick, died Sunday, April 11, 2010, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born Aug. 10, 1966, in Huntsville, Ala., she was the daughter of Anne A. Wallis of Frederick and the late John Pliny Wallis. Annie graduated in 1984 from Winston Churchill High School, Potomac. After attending Moravian College for one year, she enlisted in the U.S. Navy and became an intelligence specialist at CINCPAC (Commander in Chief Pacific) Fleet, stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii. Annie loved handbells and played in church wherever she lived. She particularly loved the bass bells. She was a member of the Tennessee Chapter of the Colonial Dames of America and was also a great supporter of Challenger Baseball, with whom she was a team mom for a number of years. Above all else, Annie dedicated her life to her children, RD and Paige. They were the center of her world and a constant source of joy and light. In addition to her mother, Annie is survived by her son, RD Clark; her daughter, Paige Clark; her sister, Beth W. Weber; a brother-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Annie's life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 15, at Evangelical Lutheran Church, 31 E. Church St., Frederick. Her family will receive friends immediately following the services until 3 p.m. at the church. Officiating will be the Rev. David Albertson of Evangelical Lutheran Church. Interment will be private.
