Lucy Ruth Webb

Mrs. Lucy Ruth Harrison Webb, 77, of Frederick, died Friday, April 15, 2011 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Claude Allen Webb, who predeceased her on March 10, 2008. They were married for 57 years.

Born July 11, 1933 in Howard County, she was the daughter of the late William and Mildred Phebus Harrison.

Mrs. Webb was a homemaker who loved her family, and her entire life revolved around her children, grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. In earlier years, she and her husband were avid bingo players and they enjoyed gardening. In addition, she and her family would love attending yard sales. Mrs. Webb loved talking to her sisters several times a day.

She is survived by six children, Gail Burall and husband, Wayne of Monrovia; Vicki Nell and husband, Gene, of Mercersburg, PA.; Terry Barker and husband, Charles, of Frederick; Glenn Webb of Frederick; Christopher Webb of Frederick; and Randy Webb and wife, Laurel, of Frederick; 11 grandchildren, Sherri Barnes and husband John, Wayne Burall, Jr. and wife Erin, Nikki Nell, Chad Mullinix, Stacey Webb and boyfriend John, Sean Webb, Corey Barker, Christopher Webb, Jr., Courtney Webb, Randi Reed, and Brian Webb, Jr.; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Webb also is survived by two very special sisters, Jenny Knight and Mary Ann Gregg; and many nieces and nephews including a special niece Wendy Clements.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Bradley Barker; two sisters, Anna Hatfield and Esther Hilton; and a brother, Robey Harrison.

Her family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20 from the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Serving as bearers will be her grandsons, Wayne Burall, Jr., Chad Mullinix, Sean Webb, Corey Barker, and Brian Webb, Jr.; grandson-in-law, John Barnes; and great-grandson, Shane Barnes.
