Mrs. Edna Mae Yinger, 84, of Frederick, died Friday evening, May 28, 2010, at Citizens Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Paul L. Yinger, who predeceased her in February 1997. Born Oct. 7, 1925, in Yellow Springs, she was the daughter of the late Harold L. and Blanche N. Moss Wachter. She was a homemaker who was devoted to her family and enjoyed crocheting and reading. Mrs. Yinger is survived by her son, Paul S. Yinger and wife, Barbara, of Keedysville; daughter, Kathy L. Abrecht and husband, Ron, of Walkersville; brother, Harold L. Wachter and wife, Roni, of Goose Creek, S.C.; three grandchildren, Amy L. Dewees and husband, Gary, Joann Elkin and husband, Ian, and Michael S. Yinger and wife, Sarah; two great-granddaughters, Megan L. Dewees and Marah E. Dewees; one niece, Roxanne; and two nephews, Troy and Todd and their children. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, at Keeney and Basford, P.A., Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, from the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
