S Sue Young

Sonja Grannie Sue Young, 72, of Jefferson, passed away Saturday, December 4, due to a sudden illness. Born in Clear Spring on October 10, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Samuel D. Boyd and Missouri Elizabeth Shank Boyd.

Mrs. Young was a homemaker and raised 3 sons. She enjoyed babysitting for family and extended family, especially the grandchildren. She loved to sew, to complete crossword puzzles and play cards and to spend time with family. Sue was affectionately known as everybodys Grannie.

She is survived by her sons Darryl Young and wife Lecia, Dwane Young and wife Kim and Sam Young and wife Deb; grandchildren Derek Young and his wife Jessica, Darin Young and friend Amy and Harley Young as well as lots of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister Dot Richardson and Dink Boyd.

All services will be private at the convenience of the family.
