Paula Mara Zucca

Ms. Paula Mara Zucca, 48, of Frederick, died unexpectedly Thursday, May 12, 2011 at her home.

Born April 1, 1963 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of John N. Phillips of Potomac, MD and the late Kathleen Murphy Phillips.

Paula loved photography and spending time with her family and friends. She was the owner of Paula's Pet Pals, a pet-sitting business she operated for many years in the Washington, DC area.

In addition to her father, she is survived by three daughters, Krista Zucca, Alexis Willard and Faith Hofbauer; three grandchildren, Donovan, Mayson, and Leiana; a brother, Michael J. Phillips and wife, Audrey; a sister, Theresa Athey and husband, Troy Sr.; and five nieces and nephews, Connor, Mackenzie, Haley, Troy Jr., and Augustine.

She will be remembered by her partner of 13 years, Raymond Willard, III.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, May 16 at Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17 from Holy Family Catholic Community, 7321 Burkittsville Road, Middletown, MD. Officiating will be the Rev. Msgr. Robert J. Jaskot.

Interment will be private.
