Karen Angela Gill

Karen Angela Gill, of Frederick, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2012, at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore. Born on February 1, 1971, in Guyana, S.A. She was a loving and wonderful mother to Melissa Craig and Kadeem Gill, partner to Robyn Craig, devoted aunt and mentor to Derrick Gill. Daughter of Stella and Carl Gill. Sister to Paul, Jackie, Shaunette, Samantha, Nahdia, Carl, and Linden. Karen was a Medical Assistant for many years at the Simmonds, Martin & Helmbrecht, Ob-Gyn practice, where her love and laughter were enjoyed by staff and patients alike. Karen attended Frederick Community College, where she was pursuing her Nursing Degree. She was an inspiration to all, never letting her days be defined by breast cancer, which she fought so valiantly for 12 years. Family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm on Friday, January 20 at the International Communnity Church, 123 Byte Drive, Frederick, where funeral services will be held at 10am on Saturday, January 21. Bishop Dr. Jerry Price, will officiate. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
