Michael D. Bunn, Jr.

Mr. Michael D. Bunn, Jr., age 46 of Frederick, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012 in South Carolina. Born on May 29, 1965 he is the son of Pam Peacemaker and her husband John, and Michael D. Bunn, Sr., and his wife Evelyn. Mr. Bunn was previously employed by the Frederick County Sheriffs department as a correctional officer and was the first K-9 unit with his partner Dino. Michael also worked for the Great Frederick Fair and Home Depot in South Carolina. Michael was involved for many years with the Brunswick Railroaders Sports Association as a football coach. He was also a member of the Jefferson Fire hall. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bunn is survived by his children, Alexis, Michael and Blake Bunn, their mother Kathryne, sisters Melissa Baugher and husband Marty, Jennifer Shank and husband Ronnie, nieces Tiffany, Brooke and Taylor Shank and Lauren Langworthy and his granddaughter Rilee Moore and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by a special friend Juanita Lynch and children Tiffany, Frankie and Sydney. He is proceeded in death by a special companion Dino and grandparents Louis and Julia Smith and Herman and Dorothy Bunn. Friends will be received on Sunday, January 22, 2012 from 6 to 9 PM at the Keeney & Basford P.A. Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, MD where a memorial service is planned for Monday, January 23, 2012 at 10 AM. The interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to assist the youngest child with a college education.
