Eva Edna Culler Wahl, 78, of New Market, died peacefully Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at her home with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Samuel Ralph Wahl who predeceased her on May 6, 2011. They were married for 57 years. Born May 22, 1933 in Feagaville, she was the daughter of the late Kurtz Elias and Mary Ellen (Houck) Culler. She was the best mother and grandmother in the world and the strongest person you would ever know. She was an inspiration and touched the lives of all those she met. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She sold Sarah Conventry Jewelry for years making many lifelong friendships. In later years she worked in retail sales in the FSK Mall. Mrs. Wahl was a devoted member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Feagaville, where she enjoyed working with the children as a Sunday School teacher and Superintendent of the Primary Department. She was very involved in all of her kids' lives regardless if they were her own children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren or her church children. Mrs. Wahl was a 4-H leader and looked forward to participating in the Great Frederick Fair each year. She had a passion for traveling and especially loved the beach. She enjoyed taking the family on vacation to Ocean City every summer. Mrs. Wahl is survived by her children, Daniel Wahl and wife, Sharon, of Frederick; Teresa Webb of Libertytown; Rose McMurdo and husband, Daniel, of New Market; Richard Wahl, Sr., and wife, Amy, of New Market; and a daughter-in-law, Sherry Wahl of Hagerstown. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Roxanne Fritz, Christina Wahl, Ryan Webb, Eva Webb, Nikki Webb, Kurtz Wahl, Kathy Thompson, Tracey Carr, Christopher Wahl, Jr., Kevin Wahl, Julie Suthard, Jesse McMurdo, Carissa Wahl, and Richard Wahl, Jr. She also will be remembered by her great-grandchildren, Gary, Robert, Raine, Josh, Sam, Tommy, Brendan, Joey, Mirabellah, Connor, Peyton, Riley David, and Penelope. Mrs. Wahl is survived by her two sisters, Susie Loun and Belva Fry; a brother, Bernard Culler; and a sister-in-law, Julia Culler. Mrs. Wahl was preceded in death by children, Steven Wahl, David Wahl, Robert Wahl, Christopher Wahl, Sr., and Julie Wahl; a daughter-in-law, Sheri Wahl; a son-in-law, Gary Webb; a granddaughter, Crystal Wahl; three brothers, Clyde Culler, Roland Culler, and Paul Culler; and two sisters, Regina Culler, and Betty Culler Roche. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2012 at Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 18 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 5463 Jefferson Pike, Feagaville with the Rev. Kenneth E. Gill, Jr. officiating.
