Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth Holt, 79, of Frederick, died Friday, March 2, 2012, at Northampton Manor. She was the wife of the late Leslie Shurden Holt Jr. Born July 4, 1932, in Johnsville, she was the daughter of the late Schley Taylor and Mary (Fogle) Toms. Mrs. Holt was a member of the Reformed Church of Charlesville and attended the International Community Church in Frederick. She was employed at the Frederick County National Bank for 16 years. She is survived by her daughter, Constance Arlene Holt of Frederick, son, Leslie Shurden Holt III of Frederick, sisters, Mary Jean Rice of Thurmont and Louise Virginia Carpenter of Frederick, brothers, Schley Taylor Toms and wife Ella of Bartonsville and Edward Grant Toms of Frederick, special friends, Leo John Bianco of Ellicott City and Harry Murphy of Frederick, numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8PM, on Monday, March 5, 2012, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. The funeral service will held at 11:00AM, on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel. Rev. Jerry A. Price will officiate. Pallbearers will be Clyde Miller, Brian Miller, Douglas Sweeney, Jason Sweeney, Richard Toms and Christopher Smith. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 515 S. Market Street, Frederick.
