Mr. Raymond Eugene Geisler, 73, of Frederick, died on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at his home. He was the husband of the late Helen Lee Allen Geisler, who died on April 29, 2011. Born in Frederick on November 6, 1938, he was the last child of 13 to the late Glenn Vernon and Edna Helen McDonough Geisler. He was retired from Montgomery County School System, where he worked as an Electronics supervisor. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Geisler was a member of the Araby United Methodist Church, life member of the Eagles, Frederick Moose Lodge and the Amvets Post # 2, Frederick. He enjoyed his retirement spending time with his family and spending time at his home at River Bend in West Virginia. Surviving are his four children, Debra L. Robertson, of Hagerstown, Pamela S. Herpst and husband Barry, of Laurel, Lori L. Sigler and husband Ike, of Frederick, and Allen R. Geisler and wife LeeAnn, of Monrovia, seven grandchildren; Heather Hewitt, Ryan Trageser, Jonathan Robertson, Garrett Geisler, Brandy Sigler, Dakota Sigler and Austin Geisler, and a great granddaughter, Haley Madison Darden. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Owen Robertson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Pastor Tim Dowell, of Faith Point United Methodist Church, Urbana, will officiate. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, P. O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702.
