Mrs. Maya Rani Mondal, 79, of Bilaspur, CG, India, died Friday, March 2, 2012 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was visiting with her son and his family in Frederick at the time of her death. She was born August 10, 1932 in Burdwan, WB, India. She was the wife of the late Dr. Nagendra N. Mondal. Mrs. Mondal was a homemaker who led a simple life. She is survived by her son, Dr. Kamalendra Mondal and his wife, Swagata, of Frederick and their daughters, Karmini, Sheta, and Sumi. She also is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Manju Rani Biswas, of London; two sons, Amal and Rabi Mondal, both of India; as well as several other family members in India. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick.
