Mrs. Margaret E. Horman, age 85 of Union Bridge, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the Carroll Hospital Center, Westminster. She was the wife of 64 years of Harold W. Horman, Sr. They were married on September 6, 1947. Born on September 16, 1926 in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Spencer and Isabel (Rodruck) Nusz. Mrs. Horman enjoyed many hobbies including sewing, quilting, flower gardens, bird watching and reading, particularly fictional mystery novels. She also loved cats. She was the mother of Harold W. "Bill" Horman, Jr. and wife Cheryl of Hagerstown, Michael Horman and wife Sue of Woodsboro, Steve P. Horman and wife Annette of Taneytown, and Terri Horman of Union Bridge; the grandmother of Chris Lord, Corey Horman, Victoria Horman, Charlotte Davis, Michael J. Horman., Steve W. Horman. and Mark Smith; and the great-grandmother of: Chloe, Evan, Garrett, Gabrielle, Cody, Tenley, Landon, Bailey, and Hunter. She is additionally survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Ruth Stockman and Evelyn Nusz. Mrs. Horman's family would like to thank the caring staff at Gettysburg Hospital, Transitional Health Care in Gettysburg, and the Carroll Hospital Center for the support in the recent months. Friends will be received on Sunday, March 11, 2012 from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick where services will be held in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home on Monday, March 12, 2012 at 11 AM. Rev. Dr. James S. Flora will officiate.
