Mr. Ernest P. Jones, Jr., USAF Ret., 75, of Frederick died Sunday, March 10, 2012 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Mary Louise Jones, who predeceased him on January 23, 2008. Born June 16, 1936 in Binghamton, N.Y., Mr. Jones retired as a telecommunications specialist. He was a member of the Francis Scott Key Post #11 American Legion, B.P.O.E. Lodge #684, and a life member of the Amvets Post #2. He was a kind, loving man and a good friend to all. He will be missed by many. He was the last of his immediate family and is survived by lifelong friends, Deborah and Gerald Buck of Largo, Fla., and Robert Matusek of Frederick. Private inurnment will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, Frederick.
