Miss. Sarah Katherine "Sallie Kate" Landauer, 86, of Frederick, died Thursday, March 8, 2012, at St. Catherine's Nursing Center, Emmittsburg. Born on August 2, 1925 in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Irving M. and Grace S. Landauer. She is survived by her sister, Anne Spence of Charlottesville, VA; nephews Michael Spence and wife Ramona, David Spence, James Spence and wife Bridget; niece Sallie Lowe and husband Chris; five great nieces and great nephews. A die-hard Redskins fan, a passionate Democrat, and a proud child of Frederick County, she will be missed. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 2, 2012, at the Evangelical Lutheran Church, 31 E. Church St., Frederick, MD 21701. Rev. Dr. Philip Fogarty will officiate. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 800 Wyman Park Dr., 1st Floor, Baltimore, MD 21211, www.diabetes.org.
