Mrs. Vivian Lee Anderson Sperry, 91, of Frederick, died on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at her home. She was the wife of the late Charles H. Sperry, Sr. Born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, on January 13, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Barnett S. and Blanche Brannon Anderson. She had worked for several years as a secretary at Aerojet General and SRI both in Frederick. Mrs. Sperry was a member of the All Saints Episcopal Church and The Order of the Daughters of the King. Surviving are her children, Charles H. Sperry, Jr., and wife Pamela, of Spotsylvania, Virginia and Susan L. Rentzell, of Frederick, one sister, Lois E. Rader, of Melbourne Village, FL. Mrs. Sperry is also survivied by four grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren: Charles H. Sperry III and wife Kristina, and their children, Lauren and Dean; Lisa A. McConnell and husband Patrick, and their children, Emily and Matthew; Bethani E. Tayler and her children, Trenton, Dylan and Samantha; Carl E. Rentzell III and wife Deborah, and their children, Caitlyn, Allyson and Heath. She will also be remembered by several nieces and nephews, and will missed by her loving dog, Daisy. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Carl E. Rentzell, Jr., one brother, Raymond E. Anderson and two sisters, Hazel E. Williford and Wilma B. Anderson. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., on Thursday, March 15, 2012, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 16, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at the All Saints Episcopal Church, 106 West Church Street. the Rev. Jessica T. Knowles, will officiate. Interment will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012, in the Bridgeport Cemetery located in Bridgeport, West Virginia. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to All Saints Episcopal Church, 106 West Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701 or to a charity of one's choice.
