June Coburn Demmons

Mrs. June Coburn Demmons, 80, of Frederick, MD, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012 at her home. She was the wife of the late George A. Demmons. Born February 28, 1932 in Alexandria, VA, she was the daughter of the late George and Elsie (Hawthorn) Coburn. June was an avid doll collector. She was also known for her love for fish and cats. June is survived by two sons, George A. Demmons Jr. and wife Debbie, Charles C. Demmons and wife Brenda; one daughter Linda D. Wahl; daughter-in-law Wendy Demmons; one brother George Coburn; five grandchildren, Roxanne, Kevin, Christy, Timothy, and Tina; and six great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, June was preceded in death by two sons, Robert E. Demmons and Timothy K. Demmons. The family will receive friends from 3-5 & 7-9PM on Thursday, March 22, 2012, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St. Frederick, Maryland. Funeral services will be held at 10AM on Friday, March 23, 2012, at Mount Zion United Methodist Church, 7239 McKaig Rd, Frederick, Maryland. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
