Richard P. Ehst

Mr. Richard Paul Ehst, age 87 of Frederick, MD passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband for 62 years of the late Eileen M. (Kohout) Ehst. Born on May 28, 1924 he was the son of the late Myron and Miriam Ehst. Richard grew up in Reading, PA. He served as a Private First Class in the Army 102d Infantry Division in Germany and France in World War II. He graduated with a degree in fine arts from Syracuse University. Following graduation he worked as a free lance commercial artist. He lived most of his adult life in Bethesda, MD and moved to Frederick, MD to be closer to his family. He was the father of Elaine C. Jachowski and husband Bryan and Eric R. Ehst and wife Vicky; the grandfather of Dr. Jennifer Jachowski, Jason Jachowski, Josh Jachowski, and Justin Jachowski, Nicholas Ehst and Spencer Ehst.
