Ms. Dorothy Burke, 49, of Oakland, MD, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012 at her home. She was the wife of Terry L. Shaffer. Born on September 12, 1962, she was the daughter of Susanna T. and the late James Baker. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children, Lindsey Cline of Friendsville, Courtney Baker and Terry R. Shaffer of Oakland, four brothers, James, Paul, Jay and Michael Baker, of Frederick, a special nephew, Sean Baker of Frederick, nieces, Whitney and Alicia of Frederick, nephew, Corey of Frederick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David "Spock" Baker. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3pm, on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM, at the funeral home. Pastor Russell Liller will officiate. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
