Larry Brent Ausherman

May 4, 1946 — April 17, 2012

Larry Brent Ausherman, of Frederick County, son of the late Martha (Thompson) and Lawrence Ausherman, passed away on April 17, 2012. He was the loving husband of Gail Lawrence Ausherman for almost 25 years. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Lori Anne Reeder (Dwayne) of Middletown; a son, Brent A. Ausherman of Braddock Heights; step-sons Matt Huseman of Denver CO and Brandt Huseman of Baltimore, MD; step-daughters Victoria Barron (James) of Brunswick and Jennifer Bern (Charles) of Middletown; sister, Connie Cunningham (Allan) of Hagerstown; nieces, Lisa Routzahn (Heath) of Frederick and Tina Kelsey of Mt. Airy. He also leaves behind seven adoring grandchildren: Joshua and Daniel Reeder; Gabriel and Elijah Bern; and Jacek, Michalec and Zosia Milauskas. Larry was a dispatcher for 18 years at Rockville Fuel and Feed in Rockville, MD. He has worked in the concrete industry for over 40 years, starting with MJ Grove, which later became Genstar. His great joy in life, besides being with his family, was hunting and fishing. Trips with his brother-in-law, Gary Lawrence, to West Virginia to go deer hunting or fishing trips with his son, driving his new boat, were his greatest pleasures. A loving, quiet, and kind man, his warm smile, gentleness and surprising wit will be greatly missed. A celebration of his life will be held from 2:00-4:00PM on Saturday, April 21 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church St., Frederick. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Araby United Methodist Church, 4548 Araby Church Rd., Frederick, MD 21704 or to a charity of one's choice. Online condolences may be shared at www.keeneybasford.com.
