Mrs. Sara Ann Eyler, 79, of Frederick, died on Thursday, May 10, 2012, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Roger C. Eyler, who died on June 30, 1992. She was born in Forrest Hill, Maryland, on July 20, 1932, and she was a daughter of the late William Edgar and Sadie Ann Smith Wilson. Mrs. Eyler drove a school bus for Frederick County for 33 years driving many students to Yellow Springs School, TJ High School, Monacacy Middle and Elementary Schools. She was a long time member of the Brook Hill United Methodist Church and was active with the church choir. She also sang with the Sweet Adeline's, and Barber Shop Quartet. She was a member of the Red Bonnett Sister's, and was a member and past vice president of the Gambrill's Homemakers Club and was a member of a Bridge Club. She was an active volunteer of the Frederick Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and at the Select Seconds Shop. Surviving her are four children, Mary Kathleen Sherwood, of Hagerstown, Charles F. Eyler and wife Patti, of Westminster, Steven G. Eyler and wife Stacy, of Myersville and Pamela A. Frailey and husband Doug, of Frederick, 11 grandchildren, Kelly, Brent, Cory, Chad, Chris, Kylee, Chelsea, Stevie, Clif, Danny and Matthew, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She will also be remembered by a special friend, Doris Krask, of Frederick. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., on Sunday, May 13, 2012, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, May 14, 2012, at the Brook Hill United Methodist Church, Yellow Springs. The Rev. Dr. Kenneth W. Walker, pastor of the church, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Brook Hill Cemetery, Yellow Springs. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Brook Hill United Methodist Church, 8946 Indian Springs Road, Frederick, MD 21702.
