Mr. Frank J. Mikisits, 60, died May 22, 2012 in Washington, D.C. Born in Bethlehem, Pa., he was the son of the late Frank and Helen Mikisits. He graduated from Liberty High School in 1970, Lehigh University with a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering, and a Masters Degree in Systems from the University of Pennsylvania. He is survived by his sister, Suzanna Spurrier, of Chambersburg, Pa.; his nephew, Markwood Spurrier, also of Chambersburg; and a niece, Helen Sweeney, and her husband, Thomas Sweeney, Jr., of Hagerstown. A graveside service will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Frederick, MD. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. James S. Flora. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association at diabetes.org/donate. Arrangements are being handled by Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, Frederick.
