Lee Frank Korrell

January 21, 1952 — June 2, 2012

Mr. Lee Frank "Nut" Korell, Sr., 60, of Etzler Road, Frederick, died on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at his home. He was born in Frederick on January 21, 1952, and he was a son of Evelyn Kemp Korrell, of Frederick and the late Frank L. Korrell. He worked at doing mechanical work all of his life and was very good at the work he did. For many years he worked with his brother, Fleet and together they operated K & K Automotive. Lee was a member several social clubs.. Surviving in addition to his mother, is one son, Lee F. Korrell, Jr., a granddaughter, Brittany Korrell, one brother, Fleet E. Korrell and wife Violet, three sisters, Irene Sergeant and husband Bill, Nancy Rice and husband Ken, and Janet Rice and husband Donald, also surviving is one niece and five nephews. He will also be missed by his fiancee', Julie D. Blake, (there was a fall wedding planned), and his long time high school friends, William Weddle and James Matheny. Lee was loved by many friends. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 4:00 p.m., on Saturday, June 9, 2012, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Rev. Joe Burdette, will officiate. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, P. O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702.
