Katrina Oland Koontz

Mrs. Katrina "Pat" Oland Koontz, 85. of Frederick, died on Sunday, June 10, 2012, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Robert W. Koontz. Born in Licksville, on May 13, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Sharetts Edward and Laura Rebecca Dutrow Oland. Katrina at one time worked at the Williamson Drug Store in Frederick, then worked at the Village Restaurant and retired from Airpax. She was a member of the Grace Trinity United Church of Christ. Surviving her is one sister, Parthenia O. Harp and husband Hubert, of Frederick, one brother, Kenneth R. Oland and wife Marilyn, of Thurmont, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Infant Laura V. Oland and Elizabeth Oland, six brothers, David, Sharetts, Frederick, Richard, Robert and Raymond Oland. Graveside funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. Those wishing to attend should assemble within the main gate of the cemetery by 9:45 a.m. Arrangements are with the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick.
